DARMSTADT, Germany (AFX) - Software AG said it will acquire an 80.8 pct stake in its Israeli distributor SPL Software Inc effective April 1 for 46.3 mln eur from Silverboim Holdings Ltd.
Silverboim will continue to hold the remaining shares in SPL after April 1.
SPL Software generates 93 pct of its revenue with Software AG products in the banking and insurance industries and the public sector.
Due to the acquisition, Software AG now expects its full year revenue to increase by about 20 mln eur. As a result, it now sees 2007 revenue up by 14 pct, compared to an earlier forecast of a 10 pct increase.
The purchase will also boost the company's earnings per share by an additional 0.10 eur per share this year.
