The American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists (AAPS) will hold its 24th Annual Meeting & Exposition at the Los Angeles Convention Center, Nov. 8-12. It will be the first time AAPS has met in Los Angeles.
“We're so pleased to be continuing the great tradition of the AAPS Annual Meeting and Exposition in LA this year. There is so much great research being done in the pharmaceutical science community; we can't wait to introduce this great work and this great city to our guests,” said AAPS President Patrick P. DeLuca, Ph.D.
More than 8,500 individuals from the field of pharmaceutical research are expected to attend the AAPS Annual Meeting & Exposition, which each year welcomes key decision makers from the pharmaceutical industry, government and academia. A variety of scientific programs, symposia, roundtables, poster exhibitions and a career center will take place during the five-day convention. This year's topics include: Excipient Innovation for Global Applications, Geriatric Patients: the Neglected Majority and Adequate Pediatric Formulations in the 21st Century. In addition to the Los Angeles Convention Center, events will take place at Union Station, the Oviatt Building and numerous area restaurants.
“AAPS will bring an economic impact of $10 million to the city of Los Angeles,” said Mark S. Liberman, president and CEO of LA INC.
