Chair of Firm's Bankruptcy & Creditors' Rights Practice Joins Prestigious Group of Approximately 650 Fellows
Allen Matkins Leck Gamble Mallory & Natsis LLP, a leading California business and real estate law firm, announces that David Osias, chair of the firm's bankruptcy and creditors' rights practice and partner in Allen Matkins' San Diego office, will be inducted as a Fellow of the American College of Bankruptcy.
Fellows of The American College of Bankruptcy are recognized for their professional excellence in and exceptional contributions to the fields of bankruptcy and insolvency law. They are selected by a Board of Regents from the recommendations of the Circuit Admissions Council in each federal judicial circuit and specially appointed Committees for Judicial and International Fellows. Osias is only the third Fellow to be selected from San Diego.

Osias is widely recognized as an authority on creditor and debtor rights in out-of-court workouts and restructurings, federal and state-court receiverships, and reorganization and liquidation bankruptcy proceedings. His bankruptcy practice includes representation of debtors, creditors, trustees and examiners, and official creditors committees. Osias has served as the court-appointed examiner in a multi-million dollar bankruptcy case and has been designated as an expert witness in a variety of cases. Osias also represents federal equity receivers in numerous cases throughout California, Washington and Oregon.
As one of the new Fellows in the Twenty-First Class (2010), Osias will be inducted at a ceremony to be held at the Great Hall of the Supreme Court of the United States on March 12, 2010.
