Third Annual Warm Coats & Warm Hearts Drive Endeavors to Collect More Coats Than Ever
Burlington Coat Factory, the retail authority in coats, One Warm Coat, a national nonprofit organization that assists in the donation of coats, and the Emmy Award-winning morning news program, Good Morning America, are joining forces once again to bring warmth to those in need this winter. The Third Annual Warm Coat & Warm Hearts Drive runs now through January 15, 2010. Coats collected will be distributed to families nationwide.
On Sunday, November 1, Burlington Coat Factory launched the coat drive at its more than 420 locations nationwide. On Monday, November 23rd,Good Morning America will kick off the coat drive on air, reaching out to its millions of viewers reminding them to bring gently-worn coats to Burlington Coat Factory store locations nationwide.
The 2008 Warm Coats & Warm Hearts Drive resulted in the collection of more than 177,000 coats for people in need across the country. All three partners believe that number will increase this year.
Anyone wishing to donate coats for men, women, or children can do so in the drop-off box located in Burlington stores nationwide. Coats should be in good condition, with working closures, and no rips or stains. Donors will receive a receipt for tax purposes and, as a thank you, a coupon for 10 percent off their next Burlington Coat Factory purchase through December 24, 2009.
"Our goal is to ensure that those people in need, in the communities from which we have stores, will have warm coats this winter. We, along with our partners, are committed to sharing the warmth with those in need during the cold winter months," said Burlington Coat Factory President and CEO, Thomas Kingsbury, "We salute One Warm Coat for its dedication to those in need and Good Morning America for communicating its passion for this drive to its viewers."
