Reduce Wireless Infrastructure CapEx and OpEx
Demonstrations will showcase the Xilinx Multi-mode Radio Targeted Design Platform with a single-chip Virtex-6 FPGA implementation for lower power and cost with the highest reliability. The platform features Xilinx Crest Factor Reduction (CFR) and Digital Pre-Distortion (DPD) with a third party Power Amplifier providing up to 40 percent power amplifier efficiency. It offers broad industry support for LTE, WiMAX, WCDMA, CDMA2000, TD-SCDMA, and GSM standards. Attendees will learn first-hand how they can jumpstart system development and customize designs based on application-specific requirements, leveraging the broad range of Xilinx radio reference designs and IP pre-verified with the Mixed Signal Digital Pre-Distortion (MSDPD) board from Analog Devices and Agilent''s leading test and measurement solutions.
Accelerate LTE Basestation Design and Development
Xilinx will also highlight the significant reductions in eNodeB (eNB) system cost, power dissipation, and form factor enabled by its LTE Baseband Targeted Design Platform with Virtex-6 FPGAs. All eNB configurations are supported from femtocell to macrocell with a reconfigurable architecture to future-proof designs. The demonstration will utilize the Xilinx platform to implement LTE eNB downlink and uplink functionality and showcase the greater processing bandwidth of Virtex-6 FPGAs for implementing advanced, differentiating baseband algorithms. In addition, demonstrations will feature the optimized Layer 1 and 2 interfaces developed in collaboration with Wintegra to meet eNB system-level protocol requirements, as well as the use of Agilent''s SystemVue and N5106A PXB baseband generator/real-time fader to analyze and generate LTE waveforms.
