LONDON/BERLIN, March 17 (Reuters) - Germany's Deutsche Bahn is the unnamed suitor behind a bid approach to Arriva which the British transport group revealed earlier on Wednesday, a person familiar with the matter said.
Arriva shares jumped earlier on the news of an approach, which it said was unsolicited and which might not lead to any offer.
'We do not comment on market rumours,' a Deutsche Bahn spokesman said.
