- Mark Edwards appointed to Chief Executive Officer Americas and Asia Pacific/Japan
- David Broadbent adds the UK, France and Spain to his responsibilities
Software AG (FWB:SOW), a leader in Business Process Excellence, today announced the appointment of Mark Edwards to Chief Executive Officer Americas, Asia Pacific & Japan. In this role, Edwards will be responsible for all sales and customer relationships of Software AG and IDS Scheer in these regions. The company also announced that David Broadbent will assume responsibility for the UK, Spain and France in addition to his other EMEA territories. The two UK based executives are now responsible for all regions outside of Germany, Switzerland & Austria.
Mark Edwards joined Software AG in 1999 as Managing Director of the UK operations. In 2003, he was invited to join the Executive Management Board. Edwards was most recently Chief Operating Officer for both the ETS and webMethods business divisions for Region West (North America, Latin America, Western and Southern Europe).
David Broadbent joined Software AG in September 1999 as a Sales Manager in the UK. He was appointed to the Executive Board in January 2007 and was responsible, as Chief Operating Officer, for business in Region East (Asia/Pacific, Nordic, Central Europe and South Africa) since early 2008.
In addition, both Broadbent and Edwards have been named to the new top leadership team: the Group Executive Board (GEB). The GEB will serve as the operational management body of Software AG. Karl-Heinz Streibich, CEO of the Software AG group, is Chairman of the Group Executive Board.
Software AG has annual revenues of more than one billion US Dollars and about 6,000 employees in seventy countries. It is expected that Software AG will exceed the €1 billion revenue mark this year, up from €438 million in 2005.
This enhanced management structure reflects the increased size of Software AG and is adaptable to the continuing rapid growth of the enterprise.
