NEW YORK, Dec. 5, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- LBi, the largest independent global marketing and technology agency with operations in 16 countries, today announced it has hired Christine Peterson as the new Director of Media. Peterson's hire is effective immediately, and she will work out of the New York office, reporting to LBi US President Judith Carr. This new role will be focused on enhancement and continued growth to the already well established Display, Search and Social media services offered by LBi to clients such as Seamless, J&J, Dyson, MoneyGram International, and Focus Features. This expansion coincides with the recent acquisition of Mr Youth, which will add even more breadth and industry leadership to the capabilities offered by the LBi brands.

Peterson comes to LBi from Publicis Modem, where she was vice president, group media director and oversaw the General Mills account. Peterson previously worked at Carat, where she led the interactive media teams in New York, Chicago and Atlanta, and developed strategy for clients such as Alberto Culver, Pfizer, P&G, and Wyndham, among others. In 2008, Peterson was awarded an IAB social marketing campaign of the year award for the Vo5 campaign in 2008. Additionally, Peterson worked as part of the media planning team at OMD Digital, and was a member of the GE team that was awarded the MediaWeek 2003 interactive media campaign of the Year.
