Datacentres 2012, (http://www.datacentres2012.com/) Europe's premier content driven event for end users, telcos, datacenter operators, cloud players, energy specialists, solutions providers and companies engaged in the sector, has launched with the global specialist in energy management, Schneider Electric, as Patron of the event.
Taking place at the Acropolis convention center in Nice, France 23-24 May, the event brings together more than 700 enterprise users, specifiers and providers to discuss key themes including energy efficiency, cloud evolution, DCIM, convergence, finance and investment, market outlook and opportunities among other topics in the datacenter and cloud sector.
Uniquely the 2012 two-day event will contain a series of five masterclasses in the largest content programme so far, and will include 100 speakers across 3 theaters in addition to a Datacentre Cinema, training sessions and a datacentre clinic. The event this year also features a series of roundtable discussions with the leadership of European datacenters, cloud operators, telcos and CIOs.
The programme includes a masterclass by Aaron Davis, chief marketing officer at Schneider Electric.
"Datacenters continue to be challenged by the need for increased capacity requirements and higher density IT equipment but at the same time, they need to adapt to the speed of the business and meet ever-changing Business needs." commented Paul-François Cattier, Global Vice President for Datacenters at Schneider Electric. "The annual conference in Nice will address these mission critical issues, and I look forward to discussing how Standardisation will be key to address this challenge."
"We are delighted once again to welcome Schneider Electric and their team of global experts to the event," commented Warwick Dunkley, vice president at BroadGroup, the event researcher and producer. "The calibre of debate and tremendous quality of content will be complemented by their participation in this flagship event."
Sponsors of the event include Schneider Electric, Hewlett Packard, Infinity SDC, Emerson Network Power, Migration Solutions, TelecityGroup, e-Shelter GmbH and is supported by Microsoft and the European Data Centre Association. The event includes an industry exhibition with more than 70 companies.
