Fidelity Expert Available to Discuss Impact of Supreme Court Health Care Decision on Employers

Later this month, the US Supreme Court will issue its ruling on the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, commonly called the health care reform law, and its impact on American employers is enormous.

Failure to comply with the provisions could result in millions of dollars in fines for companies.

The Court could reach 3 possible outcomes:

1. The law is upheld – companies must quickly meet all 2013 deadlines or face massive financial penalties

2. The law is struck down – employers will need to consider changes already made to plans, such as dependent coverage to age 26

3. The law is partially upheld – most complex; employers need to carefully assess decision while meeting remaining deadlines
