Storebrand ASA's Board of Directors has appointed Odd Arild Grefstad (46) new CEO of Storebrand.
Mr. Grefstad has been with the company since 1994, and has been a member of Storebrand's Executive Management Group since 2002. Mr. Grefstad was CFO from 2002 to 2011, and Managing Director of Storebrand Life Insurance since 2011. Mr. Grefstad has been acting CEO since 1 June 2012.
- Storebrand is actively implementing measures over the coming years in order to manage new capital requirements and position the company for a growing and changing market for pension savings. The Board has conducted a thorough process where both internal and external candidates have been considered. The Board believes that Mr. Grefstad has the necessary skills and values to succeed, says Chairman of the Board Birger Magnus.
- The Norwegian pension market is undergoing a shift from traditional guarenteed products to new unit linked based products. There are exciting opportunities for Storebrand in this development. I am highly motivated to lead Storebrand and work with our competent employees on developing forward looking solutions for our customers, says Odd Arild Grefstad.
Mr. Grefstad is State Authorized Public Accountant and Chartered Financial Analyst (AFA).
Chairman of the Board, Birger Magnus, will introduce the new CEO at the press and analyst conference in relation to the presentation of results for the second quarter tomorrow Friday 13 July 0900 CET at Storebrand's offices in Lysaker.
