BNP Paribas is pleased to announce the appointments of
Jonathan Cooper and George Steelman to its credit trading business.
They are based in New York and report to Mark Alexandridis, Head of
Credit Trading, North America.
Jonathan joins the firm as a Managing Director and head of the US-based credit repo business. He joins from Deutsche Bank in New York where he has worked since 1999 managing the emerging markets finance desk. Prior to that, he spent 3 years as a Managing Director at Bankers Trust Alex Brown where he founded and managed the Latin American emerging markets repo desk. Before that he worked at both JP Morgan and UBS.
George joins as a Director and a senior credit trader. He joins the firm from Commerzbank in New York where he was Head of Fixed Income Trading since 2001. Prior to that, he spent seven years at American General Investment Management.
