Clark Consulting (NYSE:CLK), a national firm dedicated
to helping companies keep their best people through integrated
compensation, benefits and financing solutions, today announced the
purchase of the assets of BancPlan, LLC. BancPlan provides
Internet-based software products for use in consulting in the areas of
strategic planning and board assessment for financial institutions.
BancPlan is located in Minnesota. Terms of the purchase were not
disclosed.
Both owners, Anne L. Jones and R. Scott Jones will consult with Clark Consulting, Inc. through the transition until March 31, 2006. BancPlan's tools and Anne Jones were featured in American Banker in October of 2004. Scott Jones was president of the American Bankers Association (ABA) from 1998 to 1999 and also served on Clark's banking advisory board during that period.
"Anne and Scott have built an impressive set of tools and a proven process for increasing bank productivity," said Jim Bean, president of Clark Consulting's Banking Practice. "We are looking forward to introducing these additional services to our bank clients as well as the possibility of expanding the application to Clark clients in other business segments."
"By making use of the Internet, we're able to provide banks with greater convenience while increasing the consistency and accuracy of the data collected--thereby shaving considerable time off of the traditional consulting process," added Anne L. Jones, founder of BancPlan, LLC. "We believe these tools should be available for all financial institutions who want high-quality strategic planning and board governance consulting, and Clark Consulting has the distribution network to make that happen."
