Capgemini, one of the world's leaders in consulting,
technology and outsourcing services, today announced that Bill
Campbell will assume the role of area director for the Southern region
effective July 1, 2005. As part of the North American program to
transform Capgemini's project and consulting business and return the
region to profitable growth by 2006, Campbell will be based in Dallas
and in charge of Consulting Services and Technology Services sales and
delivery across 12 states in the Southeast and Southwest (Alabama,
Arizona, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi,
New Mexico, Oklahoma, Tennessee and Texas).
Campbell was most recently North American geographic sales leader for Capgemini, and also held business development leadership roles as Technology Services and Products business unit sales leader, Manufacturing Retail & Distribution sales leader and North American sales force leader over his 4 year career. He joined Capgemini from General Electric Information Services in 2001, where he held numerous leadership roles at GE including account executive, region manager, area sales leader, and Americas sales leader for its E-Commerce Solutions business. Under Campbell's leadership, his teams consistently delivered exceptional sales results for their respective areas while leveraging GE's Six Sigma methodologies.
"As we move to a geography P&L model, it is critically important to have leadership in place that can drive profitable growth," said Salil Parekh, North America Chief Operating Officer for Capgemini. "Throughout his Capgemini career, Bill has been responsible for coordinating his team's sales efforts to increase new client acquisition rates and grow our market leadership position, and his relevant GE experience and his passion for the market make Bill the right leader to drive our go-to-market charge in the South."
Campbell will focus his team of consultants across the Atlanta, Dallas and Houston offices on developing SAP, supply chain, and customer relationship management solutions. Campbell's teams will initially target energy, utility and retail companies across the South.
Campbell holds an MBA from The Johns Hopkins University and a BA in Economics from the University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC).
