NEW YORK (AFX) -- Mylan Laboratories Inc., the Pittsburgh drugmaker, said a federal court denied Pfizer Inc.'s effort to dismiss Mylan's inequitable-conduct claims in the companies' amlodipine besylate patent litigation. Amlodipine besylate is the generic version of Pfizer's Norvasc treatment for high blood pressure. The U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania also denied Mylan's motion
to invalidate one of the patents in the case.
