CKX, Inc. (NASDAQ: CKXE) today announced the filing of a
shelf registration statement on Form S-3 with the Securities and
Exchange Commission on behalf of The Huff Alternative Fund, L.P. and
the Huff Alternative Parallel Fund, L.P. The registration statement
was required to be filed by CKX in accordance with previously
disclosed agreements entered into at the time of the Huff funds'
initial investment with CKX. None of the shares covered by the
registration statement are being sold by CKX or any member of CKX
management.
Once the registration statement has been declared effective by the Securities and Exchange Commission, the Huff funds will be able to sell certain of their shares of CKX common stock subject to previously disclosed volume limitations.
A registration statement relating to these securities has been filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, but has not yet become effective. These securities may not be sold, nor offers be accepted, prior to the time the registration statement becomes effective.
