LONDON (AFX) - UK prime minister Tony Blair today ruled out what he called 'back-door protectionism' seeking to prevent foreign takeovers of local companies.
At his monthly press conference here today, Blair stressed that these corporate moves are governed by competition and takeover laws in individual countries.
But it should not be used as 'a back door way for protectionism,' he added. newsdesk@afxnews.com ss//ss/ss/joy COPYRIGHT Copyright AFX News Limited 2005. All rights reserved.
