MILAN (AFX) - Share prices closed slightly lower with Generali leading the decliners after it announced the acquisition De Agostini's 55.5 pct stake in Toro Assicurazioni, while Alitalia rebounded sharply on reports that some investments funds are interested in the company, dealers said.
The S&P/Mib blue chip index closed down 0.42 pct to 35,588 points, while the Mibtel edged 0.04 pct up at 27,246.
