SAN FRANCISCO (AFX) - Salesforce.com Inc., which makes customer relationship management software, said Tuesday it has started offering 'Salesforce for Google Adwords,' a service for clients to create and manage search marketing campaigns from within the Salesforce.com environment.
The service helps Salesforce.com customers track the success of search ads. The company said it is offering a 30-day free trial starting today to Salesforce.com customers. When the program is released in the second half of 2006, it will cost $300 per month.
Salesforce.com also said the new service is based on technology acquired from Kieden Corp., a company it bought in August for an undisclosed amount.
Shares of Salesforce.com rose 49 cents to $33.40 in morning trading on the New York Stock Exchange.
