FRANKFURT (Thomson Financial) - Porsche AG said its full fiscal-year unit sales rose 0.7 pct to 97,515 vehicles, from 96,794 units in 2006.
Sales gained 3.4 pct to 7.4 bln eur in the twelve months through July 31, compared with an adjusted year-earlier figure of 7.1 bln, Porsche said in a statement.
The German sports car maker said it is 'confident' it will continue the trend in unit sales in the current fiscal year, helped by an expanding sales network and demand for the 911 sports car as well as the off-roader Cayenne.
The company reiterated it sees the next major gain in sales after the launch of new model Gran Turismo Panamera in 2009.
'Until then the company's development will likely be marked by consolidation at a high level,' it said. maria.sheahan@thomson.com mas/rfw COPYRIGHT Copyright AFX News Limited 2007.
