FRANKFURT (Thomson Financial) - Volkswagen AG, Scania AB and MAN AG have failed to agree on an alliance of their truck businesses, German magazine Der Focus reported, citing unnamed company sources.
The report said the companies have cancelled their talks.
A Volkswagen spokesman, however, denied the report and said talks were continuing.
Der Focus said the three companies could not even agree on co-operating.
Volkswagen owns 35.31 pct of voting rights in Scania and 20.03 pct of the share capital.
