DEARBORN, Mich. (AP) - Ford Motor Co. said Thursday it promoted two vice presidents to executive vice president, and announced the retirement of a group vice president.
John Parker, 59, was elected an executive vice president of Ford's Asia Pacific and Africa business unit. He previously was leading the region as a group vice president.
Mike Bannister, chairman and chief executive of Ford Motor Credit Co., also was named an executive vice president of Ford Motor Co. Bannister, 57, will continue to be responsible for all operations of Ford Motor Credit.
Additionally, Francisco Codina, group vice president of North American Marketing Sales and Service, will retire effective Nov. 1. Ford has begun a search for his replacement.
Ford shares fell 7 cents to $8.33 in morning trading.
