PARIS (Thomson Financial) - Car parts maker Faurecia said sales rose 8.7 pct to a better-than-expected 2.815 bln eur in the third quarter from a year earlier, lifted by strong growth in business with Chrysler, BMW and Hyundai.
For the nine months to September, sales grew 8.8 pct to 9.326 bln eur.
Faurecia expects growth to slow in the fourth quarter compared to the first nine months and it said the strong growth of business in North America has not yet enabled a turnaround in the operating margin in that region.
The business recovery plans being rolled out should see an improvement in the US starting in 2008, the company said.
