SAN FRANCISCO (Thomson Financial) - Nissan North America Inc. on Thursday reported total sales rose 13% in October to 84,947 vehicles from 75,095 a year earlier.
After adjusting for one more selling day in October 2007, sales were up 8.8% from the year earlier, the automaker said.
Nissan division sales rose 14% to 74,992 vehicles from 65,689. On an adjusted basis, sales were up 9.8%.
Infiniti division sales rose 5.8% to 9,955 vehicles from 9,406, the automaker said. Sales were up 1.8% on an adjusted basis.
