FRANKFURT (Thomson Financial) - Linde AG said it sold BOC Edwards' pharmaceutical systems business to Industria Macchine Automatiche (IMA) of Italy for a price of 36 mln eur, which includes debt assumed by the buyer.
The business, which has about 340 employees, packages and processes equipment for the drug industry and posted sales of about 46 mln eur in the fiscal full year through September, Linde said in a statement.
Linde bought BOC Group last year to boost its main business of industrial gases and has sold operations unrelated to gases. ludwig.burger@thomson.com lb/mas/ajb COPYRIGHT Copyright Thomson Financial News Limited 2007.
