EMB, the world's leading specialist property and casualty (P&C) actuarial and business consulting firm, announced today that Claudine Modlin will join EMB America as a senior consultant.
Modlin brings over 17 years of experience in the property & casualty (P&C) insurance industry to her new role at EMB America. Most recently, she served as senior consultant at Watson Wyatt where she led the US P&C predictive modeling team. In the past she held actuary roles at American International Group (AIG) in the Personal Lines Division and Allstate Insurance.
"We are thrilled to welcome Claudine to the EMB family," said Geoff Werner, managing director, EMB America. "Her expertise in predictive modeling and ratemaking will make EMB's predictive modeling consulting practice even stronger and enhance our ability to provide our clients with the most innovative predictive modeling software and services for the foreseeable future."
Modlin is also a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS) and member of the American Academy of Actuaries (AAA). She regularly gives presentations at industry events on issues around pricing and modeling. In 2004, Modlin co-authored "Practitioner's Guide to Generalized Linear Modeling" for the CAS Call Paper Program, which is now part of the CAS Exam 9 syllabus.
