FRANKFURT (Thomson Financial) - German pilots union Cockpit has called for its members at Deutsche Lufthansa AG.'s CityLine and Eurowings units to go on a 24-hour strike starting midnight on Monday to push demands for higher wages, the union said.
Employers have so far not extended any 'negotiable offers' in the ongoing round of collective bargaining, which has has dragged on for months, the union said on Sunday.
Warning strikes by the union disrupted German air traffic in May and June as part of the ongoing wage dispute.
The Cockpit union is asking for higher pay for its members but has so far not published a specific demand.
