NEW YORK WASHINGTON, Oct 6 (Reuters) - Internal Lehman Brothers documents released on Monday by the U.S. House Oversight and Government Reform Committee:
* Showed Lehman sought deals with Koreans and with General Electric in May 2008 to boost the investment firm's liquidity.
* 'Korea situations sound promising,' David Goldfarb, Lehman's chief strategy officer wrote in an email to Richard Fuld, according to one document made public. Fuld is Lehman's chief executive and was scheduled to testify Monday at a committee hearing about Lehman's collapse into bankruptcy last month.
* 'They are really looking to restructure and open up financial services ... Sounds like the Koreans are serious on this and are looking to do something aggressive,' Goldfarb continued in the email dated May 26, 2008.
* Fuld responded, 'I agree with all of it.'
