BEIJING (XFN-ASIA) - Geely Holding Group, parent of Hong-Kong listed Geely Automobile Holdings Ltd, said mainland volume sales rose 11.6 pct in 2008, with the 2009 volume growth target set at 25 pct.
The private carmaker said in a statement that its export volumes last year rose 79.8 pct from a year earlier. It did not provide absolute figures.
In 2007, Geely's sales rose more than 20 pct to 186,000 vehicles with exports rising to about 30,000 units.
The company added that is not planning any layoffs or production cuts in 2009.
