The Springfield Cardinals conducted a special essay contest with the Springfield Public Schools entitled ‘Why is Literacy Important to You,’ and I will announce the essay winner at McBride Elementary on March 12th.”
The essay winner will get a $100 savings bond, four VIP tickets to a Springfield Cardinals game, the opportunity to throw out the first pitch, four Springfield Cardinals’ hats and a special behind the game tour which includes meeting Springfield Cardinals Players.
“Farmers Insurance will present a $500 check to McBride Elementary School on March 12th too,” noted Paul Crosetti, Farmers Insurance Missouri State Executive Director. “The Farmers Kids’ Club has many benefits for kids 15 and under including a voucher good for three General Admission tickets to a Springfield Cardinals game; run the bases with the Cardinals after Sunday games; a special Kids’ Club Kid of the Month opportunity with great prizes; and a coupon for a Home Organizer® virtual filing cabinet featuring the M.I.L.K.® (Managing Information on Lost Kids) Digital ID. The M.I.L.K. program offers personal information on a DVD about individual children that can be used immediately to find a lost child,” Mr. Crosetti continued.
“More than 29 Farmers’ agents will participate in manning the M.I.L.K. booth at the Kids’ Zone in Hammons Field during the baseball season games. Parents can bring their children to the Farmers’ booth or any Farmers Insurance agent’s office and redeem the M.I.L.K coupon and have the child’s information placed on the DVD. We also have a variety of games in the Kids’ Zone for children to play,” Mr. Crosetti said.
“Farmers’ agents are very excited about partnering with the Springfield Cardinals. The Springfield Cardinals are a class organization and their goals mirror ours in many ways,” Mr. Crosetti concluded. “We look forward to the launch on March 12th, and working with the Springfield Cardinals throughout the season.”
