Under previous ownership in October 2008, the company abruptly declared bankruptcy and briefly shuttered its Ashland, Ohio, bakery. Lance, Inc. purchased the Archway® brand in December 2008 and quickly resumed operations at the bakery, with the promise of continuing to make Archway® cookies with the same classic recipes fans have cherished for decades.
“When we acquired the Archway® cookies brand, many consumers shared in our excitement, remembering Archway® cookies at family gatherings, picnics and holiday events,” said Holly Tolson, Brand Manager of Archway® cookies. “It soon became clear to us that we aren’t just making a popular cookie; we’re giving consumers a way to reconnect with family memories and simple traditions.”
Today Archway® cookies are still baked fresh at its Ashland bakery by Archway master bakers. Visit ArchwayCookies.com to learn more about Archway® cookies, to view a list of retailers by state or to be notified once the holiday cookie line is available.
