Steve Huff, P.E., Senior Vice President of Public Works / Transportation at RBF Consulting, was recently appointed to the Mobility 21 Advisory Board of the Southern California Transportation Coalition. The Advisory Board is comprised of transportation leaders dedicated to helping change and support the much-needed progress of transportation initiatives and legislation for Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino and Ventura counties.
The Mobility 21 Southern California Transportation Coalition is a regional effort involving five counties dedicated to the development of solutions to the transportation issues facing Southern California. Founded in 2002, Mobility 21 was created to bring together elected officials, transportation providers, businesses, local municipalities, labor and community leaders to develop solutions to the transportation issues facing Los Angeles County. In 2007, Mobility 21 expanded to a regional level to address the transportation issues facing all of Southern California.
Mobility 21 will be holding its 8th Annual Southern California Transportation Summit on Monday, September 21st at the Westin Bonaventure Hotel & Suites in Los Angles, California. This year’s Summit will focus on planning and funding for Southern California’s transportation future. Steve Huff will provide expertise to the Mobility 21 Advisory Board as a Registered Civil Engineer in three states with 26 years of project experience. His experience includes the design of major roadway improvement projects and the management of complex interstate freeway projects totaling over 1 billion dollars in construction costs. His experience and expertise will benefit the Board with its regional transportation goals and objectives. Steve Huff received his Bachelor’s of Science in Civil Engineering from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona in 1983 and is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers and Caltrans Statewide Professional Liaison Committee. Mr. Huff also serves as the Chairman of the Caltrans District 12 Professional Liaison Committee.
