Super Bowl Champion with St. Louis Rams Adds Pro-Athlete Experience to XerTech Team
XerTech Inc. (OTCBB: XTCH), a leading manufacturer, seller, and distributor of cutting-edge, interactive fitness systems, today announced that it has hired former NFL quarterback Joe Germaine to integrate enhanced sports training functionality into the existing XerTech product line.
Joe Germaine was a Super Bowl Champion with St. Louis Rams in 1999, in addition to playing for the Kansas City Chiefs and Cincinnati Bengals. Prior to the NFL, Joe played quarterback at the Ohio State University, where he was a part of two Big-Ten championship teams, becoming both a Rose Bowl champion and a Sugar Bowl champion, in addition to being named Big-Ten player of the year.
"Joe Germaine’s extensive athletic career and his experience in the NFL is an incredible asset to the XerTech team," said Cathi Lamberti, Chief Executive Officer. "Although it has been a large focus of our innovative products since the very beginning, our sport-based xergaming initiatives will be greatly enhanced by Joe’s expert knowledge and his highly tuned sport training aptitude.”
Most exercise equipment and programs focus on strength and speed, however these two aspects of core exercise remain isolated and often times don’t factor one of the most important tools for high level sports and activities - the brain. XerTech products successfully marry functional movement with instantaneous decision making, resulting in a more integrated workout for both the mind and body.
“XerTech provides the perfect avenue for athletes and sports enthusiasts to exercise in a unique, and truly engaging manner,” said Joe Germaine. “Unlike regular exercise equipment, which isolates the body, without a synchronous involvement of the mind, XerTech’s innovative products demand real-time responses that are similar to the types of reactions faced in sports by even the most highly-trained athletes."
XerTech is committed to engaging fitness programs and equipment that place specific emphasis on developing the neurological pathways in the brain. The programs and equipment offered by XerTech cover a diversity of applications, ranging from combating obesity in youth, adults and seniors to conditioning high performance athletics.
Cathi Lamberti added, “As part of our high growth initiatives, XerTech will be making strategic enhancements to our team and our sales development structure as we look to expand our sports training capabilities. We look forward to keeping our loyal shareholders apprised of these developments in the coming weeks and months.”
Joe Germaine has been a dedicated athlete his entire life. In addition to his decorated collegiate and NFL career, for the last 5 years, Joe has played Arena Football for the Arizona Rattlers and the Utah Blaze, currently holding the all time record of 5,005 passing yards in a season. In addition to his professional career, Joe has run quarterback and skill camps, training football players the functional ability needed to excel at their game.
Over the years, XerTech’s R&D initiatives have resulted in cutting-edge programs and equipment sold to the commercial fitness industry and educational institutions (there are over 1,500 installations worldwide). XerTech’s programs and equipment have pioneered a new paradigm in training and fitness that joins computer game technology with conventional exercise programs, appropriate for the multi-billion dollar healthcare and rehabilitation, fitness, athletic performance, computer video game, and family entertainment markets.
