Among the solutions and strategies on display at the Nordson booth will be a new ProBlue® Fulfill™ retrofit kit, which will allow owners of all ProBlue melter sizes and voltages to add on an automatic adhesive filling system. The booth will also feature an adhesive stitching demonstration, with a ProBlue Fulfill 10 melter supplying two identical SureBead® A guns with low temperature adhesive - one dispensing a continuous, intermittent bead, and the other employing a pattern control to stitchthe adhesive for a volume reduction of up to 50 percent, with bonding equal to that of a continuous bead. The difference in adhesive weight will then be translated by an adhesive stitching calculator into dollars, underscoring the value of introducing stitching into packaging applications.

Nordson also announced today that its Dawsonville, Georgia, facility has been selected as one of IndustryWeek’s North American Best Plants for 2009. The Dawsonville location was previously selected as a Best Plants finalist in 2008, when Nordson’s Swainsboro, Georgia, facility - which had been also been named as a finalist in 2007 - was honored as a winner and one of the ten best plants.
