Colorado DVR Becomes the 22nd State Agency to Implement AWARE®
Alliance Enterprises announces that Colorado’s Department of Human Services, Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR), has selected AWARE® as their new case management system. Colorado DVR is the third state agency to select Alliance‘s AWARE software in recent months joining California’s DOR contract award in May and Missouri’s DVR contract award in July.
The Colorado DVR selection is part of the agency’s plan to improve efficiency, increase transparency and accountability, and ultimately create more jobs for individuals with disabilities across Colorado. The project is a direct outcome of the ARRA Stimulus Act and the nation’s focus on jobs creation and economic recovery. Nancy Smith, Director of Colorado’s Division of Vocational Rehabilitation, stated, “I am so excited that our staff will have a tool that will make them more efficient and effective at serving our customers. Thanks to the ARRA funds, Coloradoans with disabilities will be able to find the right job in less time with even better success than before."
Colorado DVR expects to gain new efficiencies as AWARE will replace three different legacy systems. Significant ROI is expected as agency leaders reengineer outdated business practices and utilize the AWARE software to reflect and reinforce the state’s streamlined processes. Chris M. Pieper, Alliance’s CEO, noted, “A key part of the AWARE value proposition is the opportunity for our customers to leverage the best practices and knowledge that is shared among our existing customer base. The Alliance User Group is very open to sharing experiences and is eager to help new agencies get the most from their AWARE investment. Colorado DVR will be a welcomed addition to our growing family of VR professionals.”
