Fitch Corrects Rating on Various Commonwealth of Massachusetts Bonds

Fitch Ratings withdraws its 'AA' long-term underlying rating on certain maturities for the following bonds because they have been prerefunded:

--Massachusetts, Commonwealth of (MA) general obligation (GO) bonds series 1996A;

--Massachusetts, Commonwealth of (MA) GO consolidated loan bonds series 2000A;

--Massachusetts, Commonwealth of (MA) GO consolidated loan bonds series 2000B;

--Massachusetts, Commonwealth of (MA) GO consolidated loan bonds series 2000C;

--Massachusetts, Commonwealth of (MA) GO consolidated loan bonds series 2001A;

--Massachusetts, Commonwealth of (MA) GO consolidated loan bonds series 2001C;

--Massachusetts, Commonwealth of (MA) GO consolidated loan bonds series 2002B;

--Massachusetts, Commonwealth of (MA) GO consolidated loan bonds series 2002C;

--Massachusetts, Commonwealth of (MA) GO consolidated loan bonds series 2002D;

--Massachusetts, Commonwealth of (MA) GO consolidated loan bonds series 2002E;

--Massachusetts, Commonwealth of (MA) GO consolidated loan bonds series 2003A;

--Massachusetts, Commonwealth of (MA) GO consolidated loan bonds series 2003C;

Fitch withdraws its 'AA-' long-term underlying rating on certain maturities for the following bond because it has been prerefunded:

--Massachusetts, Commonwealth of (MA) special obligation highway revenue bonds consolidated loan series 2002A.

An error was found in the rating on Fitch's web site for the following bonds:

--Massachusetts, Commonwealth of (MA) GO consolidated loan bonds (prerefunded) series 2002C;

--Massachusetts, Commonwealth of (MA) GO consolidated loan bonds (prerefunded) series 2002E;

--Massachusetts, Commonwealth of (MA) GO consolidated loan bonds (prerefunded) series 2005A;

--Massachusetts, Commonwealth of (MA) GO consolidated loan bonds (prerefunded) series 2005C;

--Massachusetts, Commonwealth of (MA) GO consolidated loan bonds (prerefunded) series 2006D.

Fitch previously withdrew the long-term rating for the above-referenced bonds. The rating withdrawal was in conjunction with the advanced refunding of the bonds. The correct rating history is now reflected on Fitch's web site.

Fitch has withdrawn its 'AA' long-term rating on certain maturities for the following bond:

--Massachusetts, Commonwealth of (MA) GO consolidated loan bonds series 2002C.

The rating withdrawal is in conjunction with the partial refunding of the above-referenced bond. With this partial refunding the bond will receive new CUSIPs which will be reflected on Fitch's web site as follows:

57582NDP7 (refunded) 57582N8K4 (prerefunded) 57582N8L2 (unrefunded)

Fitch withdraws its long-term underlying rating on certain maturities for the following bond because it has been prerefunded. In addition, an error was found in the rating on Fitch's web site for this bond.

--Massachusetts, Commonwealth of (MA) GO consolidated loan bonds series 2001B.

The correct rating history for the above bond is now reflected on Fitch's web site at 'www.fitchratings.com'.
