Martin Atkins, legendary drummer and session musician, will be giving a series of guest lectures at Madison Media Institute. On Monday, October 26th, at 5:00 p.m., Mr. Atkins will deliver a presentation, "Strategies: Free is the New Black." On Monday, November 2nd at 5:00 p.m. he will present, “Packaging.” These presentations are open to the public and will take place at Madison Media Institute’s new theater, located at 2758 Dairy Drive.
Mr. Atkins is best known for his work in groups such as Public Image, Ministry, Pigface and Killing Joke. He has made many appearances as a guest lecturer and has taught numerous seminars at Tech Schools in London. Mr. Atkins is the author of “Tour: Smart” and has taught courses related to touring as a business.
This guest lecture series is presented by Madison Media Institutes Entertainment and Media Business Program (EMB). The EMB program prepares students for management and production roles in entertainment and media. Upon completion of course requirements, graduates will be awarded a Bachelor of Science degree.
