LONDON, Oct 25 (Reuters) - Chime Communications, the marketing group that is planning acquisitions, is poised to buy Pelham, the public relations company, The Independent on Sunday reported.
Without saying where it got the information, the paper said Chime, founded by Tim Bell, former publicity adviser to the British Conservative Party, will merge Pelham with the financial operation of Bell Pottinger.
The company said when it reported its first-half results in August, that it was ready to make acquisitions to prepare itself for the end of the financial downturn.
Chime communications was not immediately available for a comment.
