NEW YORK, Jan 29 (Reuters) - Shares in Mattel Inc rose 1.6 percent to $20.35 in premarket trade on Friday after its holiday-quarter profit beat Wall Street estimates, mainly on strong demand for the top toy company's Fashionista Barbie dolls and Hot Wheels cars.
The shares were also supported by comments from executives, who said they expect a strong year in 2010.
