BANK OF AMERICA
The largest U.S. bank named Alastair Borthwick and Lisa Carnoy co-heads of its global capital markets business. The two replace Bruce Thompson, who was promoted to chief risk officer of the bank.
Rupert Hume-Kendall was named chairman of global capital markets.
Borthwick was formerly head of global investment grade capital markets, and Carnoy ran global equity and equity linked capital markets.
GE CAPITAL
The finance arm of conglomerate General Electric appointed Skander Malcolm as chief executive of GE Capital Australia and New Zealand.
BNP PARIBAS CORPORATE & INVESTMENT BANKING
The bank, one of BNP Paribas' three core businesses, appointed Thomas Soede as global head of eCommerce. Soede will report to Eric Auld, global head of FX Trading. It also appointed Luke Waddington as the head of eCommerce for Asia and Japan.
COLLINS STEWART
The New York-based financial advisory firm hired Anthony Dwyer as managing director and chief U.S. equity strategist, a newly created post.
Dwyer previously worked at FTN Equity Capital Markets as an equity market strategist.
FQS CAPITAL MANAGEMENT
The London-based fund of hedge funds manager has recruited Richard Hallos as senior investment analyst. Hallos, who joins from the Ermitage Group, will be based in FQS's London office and will report to Investment Manager Penny Aitken.
TRADING CROSS CONNECTS US
The Jersey City-based high frequency trading-focused firm hired Gabriel Ng as vice president for risk management.
Ng was previously director of risk management for Gottex Fund Management.
