Demos in Exhibit Area to Showcase TNC, TPM, Self-Encrypting Drives
Interested in seeing the latest solutions for network security, self-encrypting drives and secure PCs? Join Trusted Computing Group (TCG) and members Hirsch Electronics, Infoblox, Juniper Networks, Lumeta and Wave Systems at TCG's Security Playground at the RSA Conference on Monday, March 1, 2010.
From 11 a.m. – 3 p.m., RSA attendees can get hands-on with new demonstrations and talk with experts and implementers about how to use Trusted Computing in the enterprise. The Security Playground is free to registered RSA attendees, but registration at http://www.rsaconference.com/2010/usa/agenda-and-sessions/monday-seminars.htm is requested. The playground will be located on the Esplanade level of Moscone Center in Orange Room 304.
On Tuesday, March 2, TCG will host a cocktail reception and solutions showcase. To RSVP, go to http://www.acteva.com/booking.cfm?bevaID=196815.
In the exhibit area, Booth 917, TCG member Lumeta will host a demonstration of the Trusted Network Connect (TNC) network security architecture. This demo will highlight data center security and data leak prevention, incorporating Lumeta's IPsonar MAP (Metadata Access Point) client that publishes information on data leak, Juniper Networks IC Series UAC Appliance, the policy management server at the heart of Juniper Networks Unified Access Control, as a policy decision point for user authentication, endpoint health checking and provisioning, and a MAP server as a central clearinghouse for information on endpoints.
In Booth #1849, TCG member Wave Systems will demonstrate its client and server tools for managing self-encrypting drives (SED)—where encryption occurs on the drive itself—and Trusted Platform Modules (TPMs), cryptographic security chips found on the motherboard of most business PCs.
Hirsch Electronics will demonstrate physical security and integration with network security using TCG specifications in its booth, #856.
Dr. Robert Thibadeau, Wave Systems, will participate in two panel sessions, LAW-303 and LAW-401, addressing legal issues and implications of data protection and the role of hardware-based encryption. More information can be found at https://cm.rsaconference.com/US10/catalog/speakers/speaker.jsp?key=3750.
Bob Beliles, Hirsch Electronics, will participate in a panel "Does Physical Security on the Network Create New Vulnerabilities?" More info can be found at https://cm.rsaconference.com/US10/catalog/speakers/speaker.jsp?key=3436.
RSA attendees interested in the TCG Trusted Platform Module can view information on the new TPM certification program, including a list of certified products, at TCG's site, http://www.trustedcomputinggroup.org/certification.
