insurers
* Brown says subpoenas financial records, other documents from California's
seven largest health insurers
* Brown says subpoenaed records from Aetna anthem blue cross, Cigna
health net, blue shield of California, kaiser permanente, pacificare
* Brown says subpoenas cover 'pay-for-service' plans, which reimburse doctors
and hospitals for services performed instead of via an hmo approach
* Brown says last month subpoenaed the same companies regarding hmos
* Brown says the insurers have 30 days to hand over records
