BEIJING, March 10 (Reuters) - China's Sinopec Group, parent of Sinopec Corp, is still looking to expand abroad, Zhou Yuan, a senior advisor to the group and former general manager, said on Wednesday.
Sinopec Group processed 184 million tonnes of crude oil in 2009 and sold 129 million tonnes of fuel, he said.
It imported about 12.7 million tonnes of crude from overseas production-sharing contracts, including 2.75 million tonnes from Addax Petroleum in Iraq.
Zhou said there was still great potential to increase domestic oil production and he saw no overcapacity in China's refining industry.
