Supporting Cyber Security Education
GameLogic, Inc., a provider of interactive marketing services for the U.S. regulated gaming industry, today announced that it is a proud sponsor of the Northeast regional qualifier for the National Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition (CCDC). GameLogic joins the Department of Homeland Security, Boeing and Trustwave in supporting this prestigious, industry-recognized competition.
The National Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition (CCDC), started in 2004, is a nationally recognized cyber security competition and is the largest college-level cyber security competition in the world. Each participating college undergoes a rigorous three-day competition that includes professional penetration experts attempting to exploit their systems while the participant team works to achieve business objectives identified by their "company" executives. Knowing how to defend future employers against cyber attacks while balancing the needs of the business is a critical skill for college student bound for a cyber security career. Past sponsors of the CCDC include: Microsoft, Cisco, Accenture and AT&T.
"GameLogic's sponsorship of the competition is a natural fit with our corporate emphasis on cyber security in a real world environment," said John E. Taylor, Jr. president and chief executive officer of GameLogic. "For the gaming industry in which we operate, data protection and personal privacy is of paramount concern, especially as the Internet comes into greater utilization by casinos and lotteries. We applaud the efforts of the competition staff and participants in this critical area of expertise for all industries in the information technology age."
