HELSINKI, March 15 (Reuters) - Finnish electronics firm Elcoteq SE said on Monday it had won a manufacturing deal with the lighting unit of Philips and production was already underway at its plant in China.
No value was given for the deal.
'Elcoteq will provide Philips Lighting with global manufacturing services and related sourcing and supply chain management as well as product development services,' Elcoteq said in a statement.
'Elcoteq has already started production ... in its factory in Dongguan, China. Production will expand to other Elcoteq locations including Mexico and Hungary still during the year 2010,' it added.
