CITIGROUP
The company named Keshav Sanghi as head of India equities, just two months after he joined the firm as head of sales and deputy head of equities for its Indian business. Sanghi will replace Nikhil Nagle, who is leaving the company at the end of March, a Citi spokesman said.
The company also named Jeffrey McCarthy as global exchange-traded fund product head in its securities and fund services business. McCarthy joins Citi from Brown Brothers Harriman.
SOCIETE GENERALE CORPORATE & INVESTMENT BANKING
The investment bank, which is one of Societe Generale's three key businesses, appointed Masahiro Kubo as Head of Flow Equity in Japan. Kubo joins from Goldman Sachs where he was co-head of equity sales trading.
MORGAN STANLEY
The company named Nick Strain as managing director and head of institutional sales in Asia for FX and Emerging Markets. Strain joins from Royal Bank of Scotland in Singapore.
BANK OF SINGAPORE
The bank appointed Derrick Tan as executive director for the South East Asia region.
TIAA-CREF
New York investment company TIAA-CREF said it hired Marvin Adams to head its technology & operations. He succeeds Cara Schnaper, who is leaving the company to pursue outside opportunities.
GIBSON, DUNN & CRUTCHER
U.S. law firm Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher hired Stephen Nordahl as a partner in its New York office. Nordahl will lead Gibson Dunn's effort to expand its outsourcing practice in New York, the firm said. He previously worked at Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy.
KROLL
Risk consulting company Kroll said it hired Frederico Gebauer, formerly First Deputy Criminal Justice Coordinator for the Office of the Mayor of the City of New York, as a managing director in its business intelligence and investigations practice in New York.
HOLLAND & KNIGHT
Law firm Holland & Knight said it hired Moe Vela as a partner in the firm's public policy and regulation group. The firm said Vela will work out of its Washington, D.C., office and focus on business development and providing strategic counseling to clients. Vela served in the Obama administration as director of management & administration in the office of Vice President Biden.
CLOSE ASSET MANAGEMENT
The company appointed Nancy Curtin as chief investment officer, as part of the integration of the Fortune Asset Management investment team into Close Asset Management.
FUTURE CAPITAL PARTNERS
The alternative investment boutique appointed Esther Lewis as business development manager. Lewis was most recently with Unicorn Investments.
WUNDERLICH SECURITIES
Wunderlich Securities hired Matthew Robison and Michael Gyure as equity analysts in its equity capital markets group. Robison will cover the wireless technology and communications sector and Gyure will cover accounting and tax policy with a focus on forensic accounting.
OLIVETREE SECURITIES LTD
The UK-based equities broker appointed Steve Wood as a non-executive director to its board. Wood was previously global head of trading at Schroders Investment Management.
