Quest vWorkspace supports multiple centralized desktop platforms, including Microsoft Hyper-V-based virtual desktops, Remote Desktop Session hosts (formerly known as Terminal Servers) and physical/blade PCs. vWorkspace delivers advanced management capabilities including connection brokering, desktop provisioning and user experience optimizations, and provides support for Microsoft Hyper-V Server R2, Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2.
"We''re delighted to see this exciting new capability coming to the Remote Desktop Services platform," said Jon Rolls, division vice president of product management for Quest Software''s Desktop Virtualization Group. Quest vWorkspace brings numerous benefits to customers centralizing desktops using Remote Desktop Virtualization Hosts with Microsoft Hyper-V and Remote Desktop Session hosts, including greater reductions in total cost of ownership, increased levels of user acceptance and faster rollouts of desktop virtualization projects.
