VCA El Mirage Animal Hospital located in Surprise, Arizona was recently accredited by the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) following an overall comprehensive evaluation and assessment of its operations. AAHA's accreditation and evaluation process encompasses an in-depth quality assessment of the VCA El Mirage hospital facility, medical equipment, practice methods and pet health management.
In the United States and Canada, only 15 percent of all small animal veterinary practices have achieved accreditation status by the AAHA. Once accredited, hospitals must continue to be evaluated regularly by the association's consultants in order to maintain their accreditation position.
"We are very pleased that our hospital has achieved this prestigious AAHA accreditation, which recognizes our ongoing commitment to excellence in veterinary care," said Robert T. Waltman, DVM, VCA El Mirage Animal Hospital Medical Director. "Our dedicated team consistently works towards exceeding veterinary industry standards and providing compassionate care and service for all our patients and clients. They truly deserve the recognition and can be proud of this accomplishment."
"VCA El Mirage Animal Hospital belongs to a select group of practices that are committed to meeting the standard of veterinary excellence," says Gregg Takashima, DVM, AAHA president. "AAHA hospitals pass a stringent evaluation of over 900 standards covering patient care, client service and medical protocols. By attaining accreditation, they are demonstrating their dedication to offering the best care to its patients and clients."
