ÅF AB: ÅF wins major project with Boliden

ÅF has been appointed lead technical consultant for the electrical power and automation work in connection with Boliden AB's investment in the expansion of its industrial operations at Garpenberg, with a new dressing plant, new shafts and underground facilities and site infrastructure. The contract is one of the largest that ÅF has secured to date with the Swedish mining industry. For ÅF's part, the assignment is expected to last for approximately two years.

Boliden is making the investment in order to increase ore production at the Garpenberg mine from the current level of 1.4 million tonnes to 2.5 million tonnes a year.
