WASHINGTON (dpa-AFX) - Quiksilver Inc. (ZQK) reported third-quarter net income attributable to the company of $10.4 million, compared to $8.3 million in the prior year quarter. Earnings per share for the quarter was $0.06, same as last year.
Pro-forma income from continuing operations for the quarter was $10.4 million or $0.06 per share, compared to $12.5 million or $0.08 per share in the comparable quarter last year. On average, 10 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.08 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimate typically excludes one-time items.
Revenues for the quarter grew 14% to $503.32 million from $441.46 million in the third quarter last year, while ten analysts estimated revenues of $472.18 million for the quarter.
